Our Mission
Hens for Haiti is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to construct and support egg-laying facilities in Haiti. Egg production provides economic stimulation, increased local food security, and a cheap source of protein for participating communities.

Projects are sustainable, based around a business model where profits from egg sales go to support production expenses and local employee salaries in rural Haiti.
Volunteers (left) Jennifer Askew, Becca Mattingly, and Christie Newman pose in front of a backyard chicken coup they constructed for a single mother of four in downtown Gros-Morne. Hens for Haiti is not only about promoting good business for economic growth, but also strives to provide education on sustainable animal production!
White hens settle into their new home on the first day of delivery to the facility in Gros-Morne. They won't stay that white for long!
Gros-Morne guardian scoops out corn-based milled feed to fill the bins in the hen house. Feed is replenished twice per day to ensure adequate nutrition of the birds.
The structure stands completed with walls and a roof. It's looking beautiful!
Caritas Agronomist, Guy Marie Garcon, stands proud as he shows off the high production of the hen facility. Keep up the good work Guy Marie!
Board member and carpenter, Cody Lemieux, expertly cuts the PVC piping used for feed troughs. Preparations are down to the details and hens are soon to follow!
